Volunteer Life Saving Corps
Learn About Us
For over a century, the Volunteer Life Saving Corps has safeguarded our shores, protecting countless residents and visitors who flock to our beautiful beaches year-round. Since its founding in the summer of 1912 at what was then called Pablo Beach, our dedicated volunteers have upheld a proud tradition of service, donning the distinctive uniform of βThe Corps.β
Today, active volunteers and hundreds of esteemed alumni, we continue to excel in our mission: over 1,400 rescues, 1,800 assists, and 25,000 first aid cases have marked our unwavering commitment. We have dedicated more than 1,300,000 hours to this cause, embodying courage and valor.
