Cpl Andy Lavender Memorial 5K
BLUE LIVES MATTER – FLORIDA, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, created to help Law Enforcement Officers and their families during their time of need. They are also working to help lower the rate of suicide within Law Enforcement by providing education on the awareness and prevention of suicide to Law Enforcement agencies.
This event is dedicated to the memory of Cpl Andy Lavender of the Jacksonville Beach Police Dept. “He was a larger than life, cops cop who made a difference every day. He continues to be missed”
On August 3rd, 2019, Jacksonville Beach Police Dept. Corporal Andy Lavender unexpectedly passed away.

SIGN-UP AT: First Annual Cpl Andy Lavender Memorial 5K /1 Mile Fun Run
RACE DATE AND TIME: Sunday, August 2nd, 2020 7:00 am and Fun Run
Entry Fee $25 until Midnight July 17, 2020
$30 until 8/1/20 at 9am when online registration closes.
Race day entry fee will be $35
Virtual 5K $30 until midnight 7/17/20, then $35 until 8/1/20 at 9am. It is $5 more to cover the cost of mailing the shirt and medal. The virtual race can continue on past the live race, generally another week if you chose.
1 Mile Fun Run $15 until midnight 7/17/20, then $20 until 8/1/20 at 9 am. does not include a shirt or medal.
PACKET PICK UP Pre-Race Packet pick up will be held on FRIDAY. Location to be determined. For Race Day packet pick up, Please arrive early to avoid long lines.
COURSE Run south on the beach from the Seawalk Pavilion to the turn around, head back North to the finish line at the Seawalk Pavilion.
AMENITIES Custom SUBLIMATED TECH SHIRTS to first 175 5K EARLY entrants. Late and race day entrants are not guaranteed a shirt. Custom Medals will be awarded to the first 175 finishers.
TIMING The race will be timed and scored by Jaguar Timing Systems electronic bib tag. Your entry fee covers the cost of the disposable chip which does not need to be returned. Bib MUST be worn on the front chest to be scored electronically. Please do not fold the microprocessor.
